The Future of Teaching – Where Reason Meets the Soul
Can education be an art? Is it possible to support a child’s intellectual development while at the same time feeding their soul and imagination? Agata Wejtko – a French teacher by education and by passion, long-time director of the Waldorf School in Bielsko-Biała, and Chair of the Board of the Association of Waldorf Schools and Kindergartens in Poland – will give a talk on the future of education that connects the head with the heart, intellect with intuition, and learning with creativity. At Dreamersland, together with the wonderful teacher and artist Dorota, I will speak about how the Waldorf school can be a response to the needs of tomorrow—a school of the future, where children learn not only to think, but also to feel, to create, and above all, to be themselves.

Many years ago, when I lived in the south of France, I learned to celebrate the joy of life, the closeness to nature, and inner harmony. For years, I have been supporting children in their development not only through words, but also through colors, shapes, rhythm, and movement—by felting, painting, drawing with pastels and chalk, working with wood, singing, and playing instruments. Outside of school, I also express my passion through cooking vegetarian dishes from around the world. I teach children, but in truth, I learn the most from them—their wonder at nature, their love for animals, and the simplicity of just being.
