Curawaka’s music is an answer to the call to share what is true, wild, good, and sacred.
On stage, Curawaka weaves together a rich array of instruments—flutes, guitars, charango, percussion, and more—invoking the power of nature and the heartbeat of the Earth.
Their concerts can last up to three hours, becoming a ceremony in themselves.
Each performance is an act of deep integrity and a sincere longing for humanity to re-root, to sing and dance in truth, and to leave the space inspired, awakened, and fully present.
Curawaka offers a musical contribution to the great transformation we are collectively experiencing.
The group consists of Anna Bariyani, Tavo Vázquez, Alberto Arroyo, and Dario Santamaría Romero, with members hailing from Norway, Argentina, and Mexico.
Their music is infused with the rich cultural heritage and musical traditions of their homelands.
The members of Curawaka have spent extended periods of their lives sitting with and learning from wise Indigenous elders in the forests and jungles of the world.
Their music includes interpretations of sacred songs and chants, shared with the permission and blessing of the nations they honor, as well as original compositions created in reverence for Mother Earth and to guide her people through life.
